The check valve depends on the medium's flowing. It opens automatically and closes the valve flap to prevent media from flowing backwards. It is also called as shut-off valve, one-way valve, reflux valve and back pressure valve. The check valve is a kind of an automatic valve. It is mainly used to prevent media from flowing backwards, the pump and drive motor from inversion, and bleeding from the container. The check valve can also be used for the pipe to help the auxiliary system where the pressure exceeds the system pressure.

Check Valve Function

The check valve is an automatic open-close valve that does not require human or other action to open or close the valve depending on the flow of the pipe medium itself. The main function of the check valve is to stop the flow. This selection of different materials can prevent the flow of water, steam and many other media. The main material is carbon steel and low-temperature steel.
Its main feature is that the disc is closed fast, the duration of the use is longer, and the performance is more reliable.

Specifically, it can prevent the backflow of the medium, the reversal of the pump and drive motor, and the release of the container medium. The check valve has only one direction of flow, that is, it can only flow back along the inlet. So, the exit of common pumps is often installed with a check valve to prevent water from pouring into the pump. The check valve is a valve that automatically opens and close valve discs depending on the flow of the medium itself, and it is also used to prevent the backflow of the medium. It is also called the check valve, counterflow valve and back pressure valve.
The check valve is a kind of automatic valve.

Check Valve Assembly

The commonly used check valves have the following components: a valve body, valve plate, seat, pin shaft, sealing gasket, bonnet, check lifting rings, bolts and gaskets, flanges.

Diaphragm check valve: (1) outlet end; (2) sealing diaphragm; (3) the inlet
Shell material is divided into: PA66 (nylon 66), ABS (resin), PP (polypropylene), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride).
The diaphragm material is divided into: Silicone (Silicone), EPDM (EPDM), VITON (fluoro rubber).

Check Valve Types

According to the structure,  they can be divided into lift check valve, swing check valve and butterfly check valve three kinds:

Vertical and horizontal check valves are divided into vertical and horizontal ones.
Swing check valves are divided into single, double and multi-valve types.
Butterfly check valves are straight-through type.
